How to play

You get a country name and a blank canvas — no reference image. Draw the flag from memory, then hit Reveal & Score.

How the score works

An uneven tricolour still scores in the nineties. The right colours in the wrong order does not.

Stuck? Take a hint

Three structure hints per flag. Each one adds dashed guides — where the divisions fall, where an emblem sits, how the proportions work — and never a colour or a name. They do not change your score, but the result and the share card note how many you took.

What actually differs

  • Both flags use the same colours — red, white and blue — so the difference is in the shades and the shape.
  • Even the shared colours are mixed differently: red (#BF0A30 against #B31942) and blue (#002868 against #0A3161).

How to keep them straight

Liberia: Anchor on the biggest shape: a rectangular canton in the upper hoist corner over a striped field in red, white and blue. Everything else on the flag hangs off that.

United States: Red on top, red on the bottom, seven red and six white. The canton covers seven of those stripes.

The drawing scorer is built for exactly this: if you swap the colours of Liberia it will tell you which two you flipped, rather than just handing you a low number.

Questions

Both flags use the same colours — red, white and blue — so the difference is in the shades and the shape. Even the shared colours are mixed differently: red (#BF0A30 against #B31942) and blue (#002868 against #0A3161).

Which is which?

Anchor on the biggest shape: a rectangular canton in the upper hoist corner over a striped field in red, white and blue. Everything else on the flag hangs off that. And for the other one: red on top, red on the bottom, seven red and six white. The canton covers seven of those stripes.

Are the Liberia and United States flags exactly the same?

No. They use the same colour names, but the shades and the proportions differ: Liberia is 10:19 and United States is 10:19.
