How to play

You get a country name and a blank canvas — no reference image. Draw the flag from memory, then hit Reveal & Score.

How the score works

An uneven tricolour still scores in the nineties. The right colours in the wrong order does not.

Stuck? Take a hint

Three structure hints per flag. Each one adds dashed guides — where the divisions fall, where an emblem sits, how the proportions work — and never a colour or a name. They do not change your score, but the result and the share card note how many you took.

How to draw the flag of Barbados

The flag of Barbados is three equal vertical bands — blue and gold from the hoist, with broken trident. It flies at a ratio of 2:3.

The flag of Barbados — ratio 2:3

Step by step

  1. Start with the right shape. Barbados flies at 2:3 — for every 3 units of width the flag is 2 tall. Sketch that rectangle first; a flag drawn too square is the fastest way to lose layout points.
  2. Divide the width into three. Mark two guide lines before you fill anything in. Even bands matter more than neat edges — the scorer cares where the colour blocks sit.
  3. Band 1: blue. Fill the first band from the hoist with blue. Use the fill tool rather than shading — flat blocks score better than sketchy strokes.
  4. Band 2: gold. Fill the second band from the hoist with gold. Use the fill tool rather than shading — flat blocks score better than sketchy strokes.
  5. Finish with the broken trident. Detail is the last ten percent of the score, so leave it until the colour blocks are down. Size and position count for more than drawing every line of it.

Gold #FFC726 rgb(255, 199, 38)

Common mistakes

  • Colour order is where most people slip. Fix which colour touches the flagpole — that one anchor keeps the rest in place.

A trick for remembering it

Lock in the order — blue then gold — starting at the flagpole. Say it out loud once and you will still have it tomorrow.
