How to play

You get a country name and a blank canvas — no reference image. Draw the flag from memory, then hit Reveal & Score.

How the score works

An uneven tricolour still scores in the nineties. The right colours in the wrong order does not.

Stuck? Take a hint

Up to three outline hints per flag. Dashed guides gradually trace the flag's actual shapes, from main outlines to smaller details, without showing colours. Simple flags need fewer hints. Your score stays the same, and the result and share card note how many you used.

What actually differs

  • the United Arab Emirates adds green, which Yemen does not have.
  • the United Arab Emirates is a vertical band at the hoist beside horizontal bands; Yemen is three equal horizontal bands.
  • the United Arab Emirates flies at 1:2 and Yemen at 2:3, so side by side one looks longer than the other.
  • Even the shared colours are mixed differently: red (#FF0000 against #CE1126).

How to keep them straight

United Arab Emirates: Anchor on the biggest shape: a vertical band at the hoist beside horizontal bands in red, green, white and black. Everything else on the flag hangs off that.

Yemen: Lock in the order — red, white then black — from the top down. Say it out loud once and you will still have it tomorrow.

The drawing scorer is built for exactly this: if you swap the colours of the United Arab Emirates it will tell you which two you flipped, rather than just handing you a low number.
